Winter Trail Work Program in full effect
The month of December has blessed us with dry weather, allowing us to do work that would otherwise be unfeasible at this time of year. Third Divide has been receiving the majority of our focus this last week as we prepare the trail for winter. We off-sloped a few hundred feet of tread, installed drains, filled braking bumps and constructed a forest service mandated reroute just above the spring. The reroute provides better line of sight and should help reduce some of the user conflicts between motos going uphill and mountain bikers heading downhill. The new section of trail flows much better and will shed water like a duck.
Anyone interested in coming up to volunteer for our winter trail work program will be housed and fed. Contact Us if you're interested in participating. Email us or call 530-289-2766.

Hello my names mark and I am an experienced trail dog. I have worked trails in minnesota and montana for both the conservation corp and the u.s forest service. In montana i did two seasons with the f.s on a backcountry trail crew in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. I am very comfortable spending all my time in the natural world in all weather conditions. If you know of any job of volunteer opurtunities this winter please keep me posted. Thanks a bunch!
