Fall is here and so follows our Fall Trail Daze Events. Join us this Saturday for a day of trail digging goodness as we work on the Long Lake Trail in Lakes Basin.
The Skinny
9:30 - Meet at the Smith Lake trailhead
9:30 - 10ish - sign in | pack lunch | orientation
10-2/3ish - trail work on Long Lake Trail
Sometime after 3 - barbecue
Be prepared to be out on the trail for about 4-5 hours. We will be working on the Long Lake Trail from Gray Eagle Lodge to the spillway doing lopping, drain and rolling dip installation.
Bring: sunscreen, work gloves, backpack, layers & hat
We will also be joined by one of our Adopt-A-Trail sponsors, TSD Engineering. Big shout out to TSD Engineering and the whole Shulze posse and their band of volunteers. Thanks for your continued support and for contributing so much to these trails!
Camping
For those making the trek from afar, camping is available at Lakes Basin. Casual rides will happen on Sunday for people staying for the weekend. Feel free to bring your bike and pal up with other trail volunteers to explore the rocky terrain of Lakes Basin on two wheels.

Directions
FROM DOWNIEVILLE:
Head up HWY 49 Towards Sierra City. Make a left at Gold Lake Rd(Bassets). Make a Left at the sign for the Gray Eagle Lodge (about 7 miles). Follow SBTS signs(2nd right) to the Smith Lake Trail head.
FROM QUINCY/GRAEAGLE:
Head up HWY 89 towards Truckee. Make a Right at Gold Lake Rd. Make a Right at the sign for the Gray Eagle Lodge (about 7 miles). Follow SBTS signs(2nd right) to the Smith Lake Trail head.
FROM RENO:
Take 395 North and head West on 70. Turn left at graeagle onto 89. Make a Right at Gold Lake Rd. Make a Right at the sign for the Gray Eagle Lodge (about 7 miles). Follow SBTS signs(2nd right) to the Smith Lake Trail head.
From TRUCKEE:
From Truckee take 89 to go Left on Gold Lake Rd. Make a Right at the sign for the Gray Eagle Lodge (about 7 miles). Follow SBTS signs(2nd right) to the Smith Lake Trail head.
