Spring Mountain Epic #10
Join us for our Spring Mountain Epic on the North Yuba/Halls Ranch!
Mountain Epics are free to all SBTS members* and allow us to enjoy the trails we work hard to maintain all year. It's our way of saying thanks to all of you - party style. Epics include meals, camping, group led rides, hiking, and usually a few special treats. We have 2 per year and they are always fantastic. It's basically impossible not to have a ridiculously good time with folks such as yourselves. RSVP
*You must be a SBTS member to participate in the Mountain Epic. Membership is a donation of $50/yr and goes towards keeping our trails pristine. You can renew your membership online or bring cash or check to sign up or renew the day of the event***
This years Epic will be hosted at Indian Valley Campground and sponsored by Marin Bikes and Hoppy Brewery.
Marin will be providing its demo bike fleet, featuring the latest Quad XC, Quad Trail and Quad XLT full suspension bike along with Marin Bikes staff to provide professional tuning tips. We will also have pro 24 hour and endurance racer Yuri Hauswald on hand for coaching. RSVP

INFO
Camping
Free for all participants Friday through Saturday night. Indian Valley campground has toilets, but no showers, so be prepared to wash off in the river near by or bring a solar shower. The camp ground has running water which is drinkable. Other good things to bring include bug spray, swim suit, sun screen, sun glasses and hat. There will be some poison oak on the trail, so bring Tecnu or something to wash off with. We will also have suff on hand for those who forget.
Food:
We will provide breakfast and lunch both Saturday and Sunday as well as dinner Saturday night. Bring your own favorite ride snack or lunch if you have special requirements or favorites. Complimentary post-ride beverages will be provided.
Weather:
The weather should be warm during the day but tends to cool off at night since we will be at 2,300K feet.
Youth Program :
Join the Student and Family fun. Marin Bikes will be lending a hand with pro riders giving a skills clinic on Saturday morning for all youth riders. We're teaching bike preparation, trail riding techniques, training and endurance riding preparation, and bike handling skills for all mountain riding situations.
On Sunday we'll be focusing on trail building as we continue progress on the new North Yuba Extension Trail, in partnership with the US Forest Service.
Grab the tent and bring you kids to the mountains - we'll make sure it's a GREAT weekend for your family.
Directions to Indian Valley campground:
From Sacramento:
(2 hours) Interstate 80 east to Highway 49 north through Nevada City towards Downieville. Once you cross the bridge over the North Fork of the Yuba River, Indian Valley is approximately 1.5 mile. Campgrounds are on the river side, and Indian Valley Campground is after Carlton Flat and Fiddle Creek Camps.
From Reno:

Special Thanks:
We would like to give a shout out to those businesses who have adopted the trails we will be riding for this Epic. Thanks to ABI Industries for adopting Halls Ranch and Fiddle Creek and to The Hub Bicycles for adopting the North Yuba Trail.
