Join us for a Trail Daze, campout at Antelope/Taylor Lake Trail!

The work will consist of a turnpike project and finishing sweet single track behind our mini excavator .

We are encouraging families to join us for this unique campout and trail daze event. We are rolling out our new program for kids 5-11, called Trail Kids! This is a fun way to get the young ones involved in the trail building process all while using tools just their size and having lots of fun!

Undercover Ale Works will be providing tasty beverages for us at this special event!

There are many activities to do on this campout. Activities include fishing, swimming, bike riding, and hiking. With 18 miles of single-track and a beautiful lake near the campground, it doesn’t get much better than this. Just 1 hour from Quincy, 1/2 hour from Susanville and 1/2 hour from Reno!

 

Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at the Long Point Campground on the northwest side of Antelope Lake, from there it will be about a 5 mile drive with a short hike to the worksite
When to meet: 10:00am on May 26th
We provide: breakfast bagels, sack lunches, tools and trail guidance, campsite
Please bring: work gloves, water, work boots/shoes, layers, day pack & sun protection, & overnight camping gear!
More: Help us go green, please bring your own insulated cup, and packable containers for lunches

 

Directions

From Susanville take HWY 395 south to Janesville, turn onto the Janesville Grade road (Forest Service road number 172) going west into the mountains .

Stay on Forest Service 172 for 12 miles and  turn right signed for Antelope Lake, this will drop you down the hill to the road around Antelope Lake, turn right and go 5 miles to the Long Point campground.

From Quincy Take HWY 70 west to the Greenville Y and go north on HWY 89 for approximately 8 miles and turn right onto Arlington road, this will take you through Taylorsville, Follow the signs for Antelope lake.
