Project Name: Mills Peak Trail

County: Plumas Forest: Plumas District: Beckwourth

Miles of Trail: 7 miles Designated Use: multiple-use

Type of Work to be Performed: route has been flagged, and mapped. NEPA / CEQA review complete. Construction started with approximately 1 mile remaining to construct near upper terminus.

Funding Received From: Two amazing prize drawings hosted by Scot Nicol of Ibis Cycles, Eastern Plumas Recreation District using California Proposition 40 funds, Plumas County Board of Supervisors using Title III funds, Plumas Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative using GotSky Foundation funds, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds, SBTS general funds, Sierra County using California Proposition 40 funds.

Project Status: Mills Peak Trail looks to be completely funded through a combination of Ibis Cycles prize drawing funds and California Proposition 40 funds allocated by Sierra County Board of Supervisors. Constrcution is to be complete sometime in September for the Fall Mountain Epic event.
