Mountain Epics are free to all SBTS members* and allow us to enjoy the trails we work hard to maintain all year. It's our way of saying thanks to all of you - party style. Epics include meals, camping, group led rides, hiking, and usually a few special treats. We have 2 per year and they are always fantastic. It's basically impossible not to have a ridiculously good time with folks such as yourselves.
*You must be a SBTS member to participate in the Mountain Epic. Membership is a donation of $50/yr and goes towards keeping our trails pristine. You can renew your membership online or bring cash or check to sign up or renew the day of the event***
This years Epic will be hosted at Indian Valley Campground and sponsored by Marin Bikes and Hoppy Brewery.

Marin will be providing its demo bike fleet, featuring the latest Quad XC, Quad Trail and Quad XLT full suspension bike along with Marin Bikes staff to provide professional tuning tips. We will also have pro 24 hour and endurance racer Yuri Hauswald on hand for coaching. RSVP

The camp ground has running water which is drinkable. Other good things to bring include bug spray, swim suit, sun screen, sun glasses and hat. There will be some poison oak on the trail, so bring Tecnu or something to wash off with. We will also have suff on hand for those who forget.
Food:
We will provide breakfast and lunch both Saturday and Sunday as well as dinner Saturday night. Bring your own favorite ride snack or lunch if you have special requirements or favorites. Complimentary post-ride beverages will be provided.
Weather:
The weather should be warm during the day but tends to cool off at night since we will be at 2,300K feet.
Youth Program :
We've got some special stuff planned for the younger folks, including rides and training on low-impact riding techniques, taught by some of our local pros.

Mountain Epic #9
Lakes Basin
Thanks to all who came out to this rocking event . Trails were conquered, tri tip was cooked, beers were drunk, and bikes were broken. All in all, a solid Epic weekend. Not to mention one of the fattest raffles I've ever seen. Special thanks to all the new members who signed up. You are the life blood that keeps the burgers on the grill.
Here is a video of the trail dedication on Sunday. Here are some pictures of the event.
* For those of you who took pictures of the event, post them on flickr send them to our SBTS group pool*

Mountain Epic #8 Bullards Bar
This was our biggest epic to date! Thanks for all who came out and made this event so special and fun. Saturday was was an action packed day filled with over 60 riders enjoying the loamy twisty trails at Bullards. Nighttime brought continued festivities as beer was poured, Bar B Q was eaten, raffles were won, songs by Johnny Walker were sung, and fires were jumped over the talented boys from Quincy . . . and for the late late night folks, fire dancing was ignited. The bar has been raised.
