Quincy Volunteer Epic – May 15 – May 17, 2026

Join SBTS on Friday, May 15 – Sunday, May 17, 2026, for our fun-filled Epic Weekend in Quincy, where the food and beer are covered for our beloved SBTS volunteers. RSVP sooner than later as these “sell-out”!

The weekend festivities include: sleeping under the stars, riding the fine trails of Mount Hough, hiking, and a lot of digging in the dirt!

Peter DeMattei will be playing acoustic guitar at fire pit time for an excellent evening under the stars.

Where to meet

Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy. We have reserved the Lower Campgrounds off of Lee Road (behind the fairgrounds) through Gate 3. We will have the whole area reserved so look for an open spot and grab it.

Weekend Schedule:

The event officially kicks off Saturday, but many will arrive Friday to set up camp. The group campsite will be set up by Friday night. On Saturday, plan on arriving between 7:00 and 8:30AM. Saturday is the main trail work day, and on Sunday there are multiple fun ways to adventure on the mountain.

Thursday:

  • 1pm – Fairground Open

  • Get your own dinner on the way in, or in town.

Friday & Saturday:

  • 7:00 am Hot water (so you can make your own coffee and breakfast)

  • 8:30 am Volunteer Sign In

  • 9:00 am Safety Talk

  • 9:15 pm Depart for Project Site (we provide a sandwich and drink for lunch)

  • 2:00 pm Tools Down, Return to the meeting location

  • 5 pm- Dinner

  • 6:30 pm- Epic Games (Saturday)

Sunday

  • 10am- Fun mountain adventures depart

 

No Dogs

Per Plumas County ordinance, there are NO DOGS allowed at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds. If you must bring your dog, you must camp elsewhere. Please email info@sierratrails.org for other camping recommendations. Folks who come to the fairgrounds with dogs will be asked to leave.
